Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Today is Dr. Seuss' Birthday. As a preschool teacher, this was a very big day for us! We adorned Cat in the Hat hats, and nibbled on some homemade green eggs and ham! As an early childhood educator, I love Dr. Suess. He has easy to read books that not only teach math and early reading skills, but also lessons about life.

I remember right before graduating high school, a teacher read to us Oh! The Places You'll Go. At that time, I was much too young an naive to grasp the true concept of what that book was about. Now, as a real live adult, I see it's meaning. It's message to everyone young and old: That you never know where the road ahead will take you.
